execute a detailed study of the customer’s supply chain
and identify areas for improvement via establishing join
Project Team. The project involved a review of the
current processes in the domains of demand planning,
manufacturing, sales and distribution, identification of
the key issues in each of these areas.
Based on the issues in each of the domains, solutions
for improving supply chain effectiveness were to be
recommended. Also, the key performance metrics based on
the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model were
to be identified and a performance management system
established.
The performance management system would comprise of
hierarchically segmented metrics that would be used to
monitor the performance of the organization at
strategic, tactical and operational levels.
The project was executed in three phases:
Discover Phase – to understand the current
supply chain processes and issues, and to identify
the strategic level metrics to be targeted for
improvement.
Diagnose Phase– to analyze the issues in
detail and propose alternative to –be solutions.
Define Phase – to propose detailed solutions, model
pilots in advanced planning software and establish the
performance management framework.
METHODOLOGY:
For

was segmented into the demand side – responsible for
demand and distribution planning and the supply side-
responsible for procurement and manufacturing
